Set Build
We can build virtually any style of set you require: from a lounge to a study, staircase to a bathroom and in contemporary or traditional styles. Here is a brief explanation, of how it all works:
First we sit down with you and discuss the project requirements. Together we look at pictures, paint charts and different styles to produce sketches. These are then given to the set builder.
We discuss how the shoot will go and what the expected costs will be. Based on our conversations, we will provide you with a written estimate. There is no charge for these services. The set is usually constructed from our existing studio flats, windows and doors. The set is painted and the flooring put down.
We have limited floor, curtain and blind supply, but any new items required will be bought in especially for your project.
Studio time includes dismantling time. This means the time your set is occupying our studio space plus the time to dismantle and tidy the studio.
Our customers sometimes leave a trailer or container outside for the duration of the shoot. We hire two strong helpers to take heavy furniture on and off, and ensure things are packaged away safe and secure. (If you wish to provide your own people for this that’s fine).
We charge to select props and to style your set. You may have your own props or we may have enough of our own in the studio props section. All props purchased are chargeable at shop prices and a deposit to cover this is required upfront.
If models are required for your shoot, we let you pay the model agency directly.
How much time we spend depends on the style of photography you require. For instance an advertising shot of a highly styled room set may take very intricate lighting and styling and so take longer to style than a very simple product photograph. We will discuss these elements at before we start and provide you with a crystal clear estimate.
All extra costs are charged accordingly, for instance, props backgrounds, extra time taken etc. Our company operates a crystal clear pricing policy; please ask for our price list.
Images are retouched and provided to you on disc as CMYK tiffs as well as web sized jpegs for your site and email purposes.
Invoices are all itemised and payment is strictly 30 days from date of invoice.
